The event features a treasure trove of tens of thousands of books, vinyl records, comic books and myriad other collectables, along with great food and music.
“Interest in our event continues to grow steadily and attendance is surging,” said Ryan M. Place, founder and chairman of the book festival committee. The event has outgrown Shed 5 due to increased attendance and will now occur inside the largest venue in the market, Shed 3.
Over 10,000 individuals, of all ages and from countries as far away as Europe and India showed up to the event last year, with around 200 vendors selling items. There will also be a huge variety of food and beverage options, including offerings from Nosh Pit Detroit, Big Dogs Hot Dogs, Cherry Pit BBQ, Cosmic Burrito, Eastern Market Brewing Co. and more.
