Rare Son of Frankenstein, Disney, and Orson Welles’ Macbeth Posters to Auction

Posters from classic movies will go under the hammer next week at Heritage Auctions including Boris Karloff's final appearance as Victor Frankenstein’s monster, and Orson Welles's 1936 'Voodoo Macbeth'.
Highlights of the December 2-3 Movie Posters auction include:
* the Style A one sheet for the 1939 Universal Studios Son of Frankenstein (estimate: $60,000 - $120,000)
* one of the few known surviving posters for 1925’s Alice in the Jungle, one of the 'Alice Comedies' created by Walt Disney while he was still at the Laugh-O-Gram Studio in Kansas City (estimate: $20,000 - $40,000)
* the British poster for 1945’s horror anthology Dead of Night with artwork by Leslie Hurry, set designer for the Sadler’s Wells Ballet, the Old Vic, the Royal Opera House and the Royal Shakespeare Company, and produced by Ealing Studios (estimate: $15,000 - $30,000)
* two lobby cards discovered inside the walls of a Canadian home during a renovation from 1933’s The Invisible Man, one featuring Claude Rains shrouded in bandages (estimate: $5,000 - $10,000) and another featuring Henry Travers, Gloria Stuart and William Harrigan
* a poster for 1932’s Santa’s Workshop, the 33rd entry in the 'Silly Symphonies' (estimate: $15,000 - $30,000)
* three lobby cards from 1933’s Duck Soup, the final film to star all four Marx Brothers
* a theater window card for The Greek Theatre’s production of Macbeth, the only known survivor of Welles’ adaptation of William Shakespeare’s play starring an all-Black cast set in 19th century Haiti which came to be known as 'Voodoo Macbeth' (estimate: $2,500 - $5,000)
