Charles Lindbergh, Al Capone, and George Washington Autograph Documents to Auction

Various pieces of Americana and celebrity memorabilia are under the hammer at RR Auction in a sale ending tomorrow.
Highlights of the Encapsulated Auction which ends on December 19 include:
- Al Capone's 1926 twice-signed "Gold Coin" Chicago Bank document, a bank note also signed by his wife, Mae Capone, and mother, Theresa Capone (estimate: $25,000)
- a handwritten statement by George Washington commemorating the bravery of Revolutionary War officer Captain George Hurlbut who died of his wounds (estimate: $25,000)
- a poignant handwritten plea penned by Charles Lindbergh just after the infamous kidnapping of Lindbergh's son asking reporters to leave: "Our roads are blocked and communication made extremely difficult under present circumstances I am asking that everyone leave our farm". (estimate: $8,000)
The auction also features signatures from Charles Darwin, Benjamin Franklin, Marilyn Monroe, Albert Einstein, and Martin Luther King Jr.
