Ticket stubs, maps, playbills, postcards, political buttons, forgotten photographs and more will return to the Ephemera Society of America's flagship Ephemera Fair.
It is the largest event of its kind in the U.S., bringing more than 60 dealers and over 10,000 pieces of rare and historic printed matter to the Hyatt Regency Old Greenwich, running March 20–22.
Now in its 46th year, the fair transforms everyday paper originally meant to be fleeting into cultural artifacts. Items range from vintage maps, baseball cards, and advertising posters to banknotes, sheet music, wood engravings, and centuries-old curiosities, with a similarly wide range of prices.
"This year’s edition coincides with ESA’s annual conference, 250 Years: Ephemera Shapes America, tying the fair to the nation’s 250th anniversary and spotlighting how small, fragile printed objects have quietly documented and shaped American life," said a spokesperson. "Part marketplace, part living archive, and part treasure hunt, it’s a rare opportunity to hold history in your hands."
