Special Report: An Exhibit at PEM of Interest to Bibliophiles

We're posting today an exhibition review by Nick Basbanes covering his recent trip to the Peabody Essex Museum (PEM) in Salem, Massachusetts, to see American Impressionist: Childe Hassam and the Isles of Shoals, an exhibit of forty oil paintings and watercolors that pays homage to one of Nick's favorite books, Celia Thaxter's An Island Garden (Houghton Mifflin, 1894).
