Heritage Auctions Launches Website Redesign of HA.com

DALLAS — Visitors to HA.com, the homepage for Heritage Auctions, the world’s third largest auction house, will be greeted by a cleaner look and content-centric personalization today as part of a top-down redesign. The new look streamlines access to Heritage’s 36 categories while retaining its industry-leading functionality for live bidding and collection cataloging services.

“Teams across the country worked for a year to make HA.com an even better starting point to build or sell a collection,” said James Halperin, Co-founder of Heritage. “The site is cleaner and delivers a more customized experience, giving visitors and clients more tools to learn about the objects they love to collect.”

New features make it easier for Heritage’s 800,000+ online bidder members to find events, search by keyword or browse by category or auction and locate personal information such as MyBids, MyTrackedLots and MyCollection. New custom content blocks now serve up news and information about lots collectors are most interested in. Although HA.com may look different, all functionality will remain the same; members may access more than 3.5+ million prices realized - all for free - in Heritage’s Permanent Auction Archives.

HA.com resoundingly ranks as the #1 website for fine art and high-end collectibles and started 2013 in the top .01 percent out of more than 150 million U.S. sites, with an ever-increasing number of visits coming from mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones, according to data from Compete.com. Heritage was named by Robb Report as one of ‘Luxury’s 25 Most Innovative Brands’ in its August 2013 edition.

Heritage recently enhanced imaging viewing options on the site by giving its 800,000+ online bidder-members the ability to pick between multiple views of high-resolution images and new Pan and Zoom feature and navigation controls are now available for all Heritage lots, including the 3.5+ million lots in its auction archives. The enhancement is one more way Heritage has redefined industry standards to allow anyone who registers on HA.com unlimited free access to high-resolution images, making it the largest free source of high-quality images of fine art and collectibles on the internet.

Members also may now sign in using PayPal, the most popular payment methods used by collectors on mobile devices, in addition to receiving text messages on their smartphones when lots they are bidding on, tracking or consigning are coming up for auction.

Heritage Auctions is the largest auction house founded in the United States and the world’s third largest, with annual sales of more than $800+ million, and 800,000+ online bidder members.
