Firsts Hong Kong Book Fair to Launch in Late 2024
Details are emerging about the debut of Firsts Hong Kong, a new book fair which will be held for the first time December 6 -8 this year.
Organisers say that Firsts Hong Kong will bring the former China in Print fair under the Firsts umbrella and will be held in the Hong Kong Maritime Museum at Central Pier 8, Hong Kong. They will be welcoming international dealers with a selection of rare books, manuscripts, photographs, prints and works on paper relating to Asia and beyond.
It follows the success of the longstanding Firsts London, the rare book fair which is now held annually at the Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea, London, the 2024 theme of its 67th edition being 'The Art of the Book'. It regularly attracts more than 100 international dealers and is organised by the Antiquarian Booksellers' Association in collaboration with the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB).
