First Appearances of Silver Age Flash, Spiderman, and Wolverine to Auction

Goldin's July Pop Culture Elite Auction features more than 100 comic books including various first appearance issues, with many graded CGC 9.6 and above. 

Highlights include: * 

* the beginning of the Silver Age of Comics with the origin and first appearance of Flash in Showcase #4, 1956, as well as the first appearance of Iris West, Mazdan and Turtle Man. Graded CGC 7.5, there are only 21 known examples of this book graded higher.

* the origin and first appearance of Spider-Man in Amazing Fantasy #15, 1962. Written and signed by Stan Lee, this issue is graded 8.5 restored by PGX

* a CGC 9.6 graded first full appearance of Wolverine in Incredible Hulk #181, 1974

* Crime SuspenStories #22, 1954, featuring the Johnny Craig decapitation cover and interior art by Jack Kamen and Reed Crandall. This issue was published as the Senate investigated the "evil influence" of comic books, and is one of only 27 total issues of the SuspenStories anthology.
