Fine Books Blog Updated for Kindle

The Fine Books Blog, found at www.finebooksmagazine.com/blog, was recently given a technical update so that the full text is now available for Kindle. With the addition of mobile app readers, Kindle digital text is available on iPad, iPhone, Android devices—and, of course, Kindle devices.

The Fine Books Blog is part of the award winning Fine Books & Collections web site, which in 2012, was named the Grand Award winner of the APEX awards for publication excellence. It was one of only a handful of web sites given the award.

Readers can now enjoy the Fine Books Blog wherever they go in its full text format that includes photographs. Amazon charges a nominal fee 99? per month after a 14-day free trial. The magazine’s staff believes this move into mobile devices will strengthen the relationship between the blog and readers.

The Fine Books Blog reporting is regularly included in the content of such online publications as The New Yorker, Arts & Letters Daily, the American Library Association e-letter, and others. Near daily reporting is handled by a team that includes the Fine Books editor Rebecca Rego Barry as well as staff members and columnists including Nate Pederson and Jeremy Dibbell. Guest bloggers include Nicholas Basbanes, Brooke Palmieri, Brian Cassidy, L.D. Mitchell, and others.

Readers wishing to subscribe to the blog should search “fine books & collections” or “fine books blog” from the Kindle store or subscribe from its product page.
