Asheville, NC — Biblio.com, one of the largest ecommerce sites for used and rare books, announced plans today for Biblio.live, their first ever virtual book fair. Set to launch on March 24th, the book fair will be an opportunity for rare book sellers around the globe to connect with Biblios’ vast audience of bibliophiles.

Brendan Sherar, the founder and CEO, was first inspired to host this event by the explosion of the online book collecting community as a result of the pandemic. His hope is to bring the magic of book fairs into customers’ living rooms. “For over 20 years, Biblio has worked tirelessly to build a strong independent community of book lovers, collectors, and booksellers. Our platform -- which also powers much of the antiquarian book world online -- has already been behind the most successful virtual book fairs on the planet. Through Biblio.live, we are excited to now connect an even larger community of Bibliophiles in real-time to one another and to the experience of exclusive, one-of-a-kind books and collectibles from the finest booksellers in the world,” says Sherar.

At our first-ever virtual book fair, book lovers and collectors will be able to browse an exclusive collection of books, art, maps, and ephemera at nearly every price point on the market. Biblio is also pleased to launch this fair with an innovative new chat function that will give customers a chance to chat one on one with sellers while they browse the fair.

Customers can expect to browse a broad variety of never-before-listed books and ephemera, as well as get an opportunity to get to know some fascinating sellers. Exhibitors can expect a seamless selling experience, networking with other book collectors, and proactive support during the event.
