ABAA Holiday Virtual Book Fair and Firsts Online Book Fairs
Two important online book fairs return later this month, the 2023 ABAA Holiday Virtual Book Fair and Firsts Online.
The Antiquarian Booksellers’ Association of America (ABAA) and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB) will host a virtual book fair from 12pm ET on November 30 until 7pm ET on December 2, 2023.
"Over the last three years, virtual book fairs hosted by the ABAA have grown in size and scope, offering a wide array of rare books and related items, including manuscripts, maps, autographs, prints, and a wide variety of ephemera, and drawing a diverse group of collectors," say the organisers. "At this ABAA Holiday Virtual Book Fair, international dealers will join ABAA members to offer their latest acquisitions and rare finds."
Exhibitors will replenish their booths each night so collectors are encouraged to visit and shop over multiple days. Admission is free. More details here.
Meanwhile Firsts Online runs along similar dates November 30 - December 3. This virtual book fair is the 10th digital stating of the ABA’s premier event Firsts: London’s Rare Book Fair, presented by the Antiquarian Booksellers’ Assocaiation under auspices of ILAB. It was developed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020.
