Although each had distinct areas of interest, together their collections comprise a major offering of private press production from the 19th century to today. Important areas of specialization in Barlow’s collections include D.B. Updike, Bruce Rogers, T.J. Cobden-Sanderson, and William Morris. The Jenkins collection features a comprehensive survey of works by Richard Wagener, Joseph D’Ambrosio, Vance Gerry, Peter Koch, and Carolee Campbell’s Ninja Press. The collections are offered in discrete sections to honor the life work of William P. Barlow, Jr. and Rue Jenkins, each man a paragon of the private collector.
