Sale #116
In 1847, Oliver Byrne, an Irish Mathematician and engineer, published a unique edition of the first six books of "Elements," replacing traditional geometric symbols with colored shapes. Oliver Byrne's THE FIRST SIX BOOKS OF THE ELEMENTS OF EUCLID is lot 1 on Auction 116 with a reserve price of $3,500.
